Initial Registration & Training
Before Enrolling in a CNA Course
- Print the CNA Training Enrollment Verification form.
- Complete Applicant section
- Ask your employer or school to complete their section
- After the form is completed, open, complete, and submit the CNA Initial Registration Application
- You must upload the completed Training Enrollment Verification Form to the application
- After submitting application, allow 5-7 business days for review
- After 5-7 days, verify eligibility to enroll in a board-approved training program:
- Enter your name in the Verification site
- Look under the status heading to see if the status indicates 'eligible'
- If 'eligible', you may enroll in a training program
- If your name does not pull up, email the Department of Health to request next steps.
Approved Program List
Nursing Student Equivalency Training Waiver
- A nursing student, who has successfully completed fundamentals in nursing courses at an approved nursing education program with a grade C or better, may Apply to waive the 75-hour training portion of the NATP.
- Applicant must submit a copy of nursing school transcript.
- Upon approval by the Board, the nursing student applicant must pass the nurse aide written and skills competency evaluations before being placed on the CNA registry.
